What Makes a Good Pet Portrait Photo?
A professional camera is not required. A clear phone photograph in natural light can be an excellent reference.
Keep the eyes in focus
Choose an image where the face is large enough to show eye shape, nose, mouth, whisker direction and the expression you recognize.
Use soft natural light
Window light or bright indirect daylight helps preserve fur color and detail. Dark-coated pets need enough light for facial structure to remain visible.
Choose a natural moment
A characteristic sit, loaf, head tilt or alert stare can be more useful than a formal pose if it feels unmistakably like your pet.

Tell us the pet, preferred format, budget, destination, deadline and memory behind the work.
2. Receive Photo Guidance
If the project appears suitable, we explain which files and angles to share through a separate method.
3. Review the Proposal
Format, dimensions, composition, actual artist, price, review stages, schedule and delivery approach are written down.
4. Approve & Pay 50%
A PayPal deposit is requested only after you approve the proposal. The enquiry itself is free.
5. Creation & Agreed Reviews
Sketch or progress review follows the stages and revision boundary stated in the proposal.
6. Final Approval & Shipping
The remaining balance and actual shipping are invoiced before careful packing and dispatch.

The real cat behind the studio
We Began With Dan Huang’s Photo Archive.
Dan Huang came into our lives at around two weeks old. His changing face, markings, poses and ordinary routines showed us why one favorite photograph is sometimes not enough to describe a life.
Mr Kcal and Cherry recorded the funny moments, quiet moments, impossible sleeping positions and small habits that became unmistakably his. That real archive became the starting point for the studio’s first portrait, relief and sculptural directions.
We will add finished-work evidence only when genuine physical pieces are complete and documented. Until then, Dan Huang’s real photographs remain the honest starting point.
The photograph provides the likeness. The repeated moments reveal the pet.

How much does a custom cat portrait cost?
Commissions begin at US$500. Multi-photo portraits begin at US$795, sculpted keepsakes at US$1,095 and legacy collections at US$1,795. Final price and shipping are stated in the proposal.
Can you work from phone photos?
Yes. Clear, well-lit phone photos can be excellent references. Focus, visible detail and natural color matter more than the camera brand.
Can you combine multiple pets or separate photos?
Often, yes, when the available angles, lighting and detail support a believable composition. Feasibility is confirmed before the deposit.
How long does a pet portrait take?
Many portraits are planned for 6–10 weeks and reliefs for 8–12 weeks. Sculpture, multiple pets and collections may take longer.
Can I commission a memorial portrait?
Yes. We can focus on the expression and moments that best represent the pet’s life, including older references when they provide enough information.
Will I see a sketch or preview?
The proposal states the review stages for the selected format. Reasonable sketch-stage feedback is handled within the stated revision boundary.
