Mr Kcal — Founder, Storyteller & Cat Dad

I’m Mr Kcal, a travel creator and media storyteller with around ten years of experience documenting real places, real people and everyday life. Through @mrkcalcutecat on TikTok and YouTube, I have recorded Dan Huang’s life since he was only around two weeks old. What began as ordinary cat videos gradually became a visual record of a life we never want to forget.

Cherry — Creative Director & Art Teacher

Cherry, known as Xiaotao in Chinese, is Mr Kcal’s wife and the creative heart of the studio. She has worked as an art teacher for nearly ten years, with experience in drawing, painting, composition, color and creative art education. She does not begin by simply copying a photograph. She begins by asking what makes this particular cat unmistakably themselves.

Dan Huang — The Cat Who Started It All

Orange cat, first muse, professional model and occasional studio disruptor. Born around March 1, 2025, and recorded since he was around two weeks old.

Selected commissions may be created together with experienced artists and art educators from our studio network. The actual artist will always be credited, and every piece will be reviewed under Cherry’s creative direction.
