Can one portrait combine several photos?

Often, yes. A Three Moments Portrait can bring kittenhood, a favorite expression and the present—or a forever memory—into one composition. Separate photographs can also help us combine multiple pets when their angles and detail support a believable result. Feasibility is confirmed before the deposit.

Cat and Pet Memorial Portraits

A memorial portrait does not have to use the final photograph. Choose the image that feels most like the life you shared: an alert stare, familiar sleeping position, favorite place or ordinary habit. Older or imperfect images may establish the memory while other references provide color, structure or markings.

We can discuss names, dates or a small meaningful object when they support the composition. We avoid generic sentimental additions unless you ask for them. Public sharing is optional, and the commission can remain private.

Tell us the wall, shelf or display space. The proposal confirms dimensions, portrait/landscape orientation and any base requirement.

Framing or display

The proposal states whether framing, mounting or a display base is included, optional or left to the client. Nothing is assumed.

Reference Photo Guide for a Recognizable Portrait

Use natural window light or bright indirect daylight when possible.
Keep the eyes and face in focus and large enough to show detail.
Include natural coat color and distinctive markings without heavy filters.
Choose a characteristic expression or pose—not merely the most formal photo.
For dark-coated pets, add brighter references that reveal facial structure.
For sculpture, provide several angles and full-body proportions.

A well-lit phone photo can be excellent. If a pet has passed and the archive is limited, enquire before deciding the project is impossible. We will explain what the available references can and cannot support before requesting a deposit.

Commissions begin at US$500. Final price depends on medium, dimensions, number of pets, composition, material, structural complexity, background, accessories and requested detail. International shipping is quoted separately after the destination and likely packed size are understood.
